Started almost 100 years ago by the Evans brothers, Evans continues to carry their name, thereby linking itself to that same quality of goods and service which they used to provide.

Trained in the traditional skills of a master Butcher by the Evans brothers, Nigel, the current proprietor, rigorously maintains the same standards, so that you the customer can be sure that when you shop at Evans you will enjoy high quality produce, served by experienced staff.
The shop has now developed to include a delicatessen, kitchen and recently acquired fresh fishmongers. Always trading on High Quality and fully traceable, mainly local produce, Evans has recently proved that their homemade goods are as good as they say. In the recent Hampshire Pie & Sausage competition they took the championship cup for their Faggots and went on to gain a gold in the South of England show, adding to that several more gold’s and sliver’s for their sausages and pies.
The Evans team also realize that the current customer needs more than just traditional cuts, our busy lifestyles require a different kind of service. With this in mind, we have produced a variety of quick and easy meals so that you can be sure that cooking a healthy meal will not take all day!
We watch the seasons and in the winter you can select those warming meals whilst in the summer “alfresco” dinning is on top of the menu.
As can be seen by this website, we are constantly developing to bring you a whole range of goods, and we serve many more in our shop that can possibly be put on-line, so that not only can you pick up your meat, but everything to go with it too.
